Great Wall Park is headquartered in New York City with a team on the ground in China. We are a global pioneer in promoting and selling China marathon events to international runners — and in bringing the world's great marathons to Chinese audiences.

We believe the Great Wall of China is not merely the world's largest cultural landmark — it is the world's greatest race venue. Since 2019, we have worked to make that experience accessible to runners from every country and every background.

Our goal is to create high-quality international events in natural scenic areas with well-known cultural and historic landscapes — establishing international brands that attract global participants and promote meaningful exchange between China and the world.

What We Do

Two Directions. One Platform.

Great Wall Park operates at the intersection of two worlds — bringing elite China race experiences to the global market, and connecting Chinese runners with the world's great marathons.

Great Wall Race Events

We organize and promote marathons and ultra-distance events on multiple sections of the Great Wall — Jinshanling, Shanhaiguan, and Badaling — offering distances from 10K to 168K. Each event includes full race management, registration, and on-the-ground logistics.

Introducing World Marathons to China

Through our RunChina platform, we are the first international tour partners of the London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City Marathon in China — and the first tour agent to present World Marathon Majors at Beijing, Shanghai, and Haikou Marathon Expo.

Mr. Huang is the visionary behind Great Wall Park and the RunChina marathon platform. Born in Beijing and now a resident of New York City, he has spent his career building bridges between China and the world — first in finance, then in sport.

With a passion for endurance sports and a deep belief in the power of physical challenge to connect cultures, Mr. Huang left a distinguished career in financial services to create the marathon tour business in China — a category he essentially invented.

He has been Managing Director of the Sports & Events Center at CTS Sports Travel Services Co. Ltd since 2013, and is the Co-Founder & Director of Asia Endurance LLC. Under his leadership, RunChina became the first international tour company to partner with the London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City Marathon in China.

Building a Category

From a single race concept to a global platform — the milestones that built Great Wall Park.

2013
Marathon Tour Business Founded in China

Mr. Huang joins CTS Sports Travel Services as Managing Director, creating the Run China brand — the first company to organize international marathon tours within China.

2014–2018
RunChina Partnership Network Expands

RunChina becomes the first international tour partner of the London, Berlin, Chicago, and NYC Marathon in China. Race portfolio grows to include Yellow Mountain Ultra, Wuyi Trail Race, and Siguniang Ultra.

2019
Great Wall Park Launched

Great Wall Park is established as the dedicated platform for Great Wall race events — connecting international runners with the Jinshanling, Shanhaiguan, and Mutianyu sections of the Wall.

2020–2024
China Ultra Series Grows

The RunChina network expands to include Foursister Ultra, Panda Ultra, Emei Race, and HuangLong Ultra — creating a full portfolio of China's most spectacular adventure races.

2026
Flagship Jinshanling Race — Oct 9–18

The 2026 Jinshanling Great Wall Marathon opens for registration with expanded tour packages, early bird pricing until July 31, and distances from 10K to 168K ultra.
